Mia first began her path in the industry in 2009, and became licensed in NYS in 2011 after graduating from The Salon Professional Academy.

She has taken her talents from New York to Australia, where she eventually began a one on one boutique studio specializing in vivid & fantasy colors. Returning to Buffalo in 2021, she began rebuilding her clientele in the local area and in May of 2023, her and Alicia began Rooted Muse.

Mia’s passion behind the chair is well rounded, and while her true love is fantasy colors, she dually has a deep passion for natural dimensional coloring (foil & balayage work) as well as specializing in curly and wavy hair.

Continued education has kept Mia inspired, and in October 2023 she completed her DevaCurl Certification, beginning her specialization in curly, wavy, & coily haircutting & styling. Adding to her love of curls, she most recently traveled to NYC where she completed her Level 1 certification with Rëzo Academy, where she learned the trademark rose cutting technique.
